Ans_ Firstly, the rooted/root term is mostly used in the android ecosystem. To know it more simply let's compare it with a tree root. So... what do you understand with tree root, of course it is bottom part of the tree. And it is one of the important feature of plant from where the whole plant survives and control its activities. Same in the root of the android means, feature of android from where you can deeply control your device from end to end. Generally it means when you get the feature on your hands, then you are able to change your android's whole system.

And rooting is the Procedure through which you make your phone rooted in order to fully control your android system.

2)- Advantages And Disadvantages !!

Ans_ So start with the Disadvantages of the root :-

Disadvantages..

  1. After Rooting your device you will loose your device warranty. Not every smartphone's company claims this but in most cases of big companies you loose your phone's warranty, like- Samsung, Motorola, etc.. and few Chinese companies supports warranty on root also, like- Xiaomi.
  2. Little risky task for a common user, as if you forget to perform any particular step during rooting process you might loose your all data with your ROM. means after losing your RAM your device will never boot up until you repair/reinstall it from a mobile repairing shop or by yourself. Which is little complex task for most users.
  3. And one important thing that you loose in your android after rooting, is the security shield of your device. Rooting your device means compromising to your android shield. This shield will provide you some restrictions on particular tasks to protect the android user.
  4. After this above one disadvantage is, that root features are not available to a very newly comes android versions. Any rooted device will not get update for it, instantly.
If You Don't Care About the above Disadvantages, So now let's talk about its Advantages :-

Advantages...

  1. If you Root your android device than you are able to do anything with your android. Anything means Anything, You get your control over your android from beginning to the end.
  2. Now a days, there are so many applications available on the play store which requires root privileges. So after rooting you could use them. These applications after getting root privileges can complete your soo many dream demands that you may not even thought about.
  3. After Rooting your device you can even change/remove the system apps of your device which are not usable to you. Like in Samsung phone you got so many unusual apps.
  4. If you root your phone than you can even free so much storage capacity by transferring much more things to your SD card as usual. While in normal smartphones cases, not so many things will get transferred to your SD card. It basically works because your device thinks that your external card is your internal memory.
So overall, rooting is not compulsory but do it after knowing your needs and demands with its pros and cons.
